After solo-traveling the world, I am thrilled to share my passion for exploration with fellow travelers. Having lived in Ireland for a lot of my life, I understand the desires and needs of an Irish traveler. With a focus on creating intimate and personalized experiences, I aim to make each trip with Travelmaker Jo a truly unforgettable journey. My small group tours are crafted with local expert knowledge and designed to escape the ordinary destination and unlock the local secrets of my chosen destinations.
Egypt is my inaugural offering and holds a special place in my heart as I started living there during the pandemic. However, I am excited to expand my and your horizons and I have recently introduced Pakistan as a new offering with more exciting destinations coming in the near future. About Joanne
Like many Irish, I grew up on a farm. After a one year around the world travel trip, I took over the family dairy farm and ran it successfully for ten years. Travel was always close to my heart and after some consideration, I swapped the milking parlour for a backpack and haven’t looked back since.
After 7 years, with almost 80 countries visited and all seven continents, I decided it was time to share my experience with others. After settling in Egypt during the pandemic I started to manifest the idea of bringing other Irish travellers to see the beauty of Egypt and my other favourite countries for themselves. So here we are!
